Class Description: Breathwork is a modality that has been around for thousands of years and used in many cultures across the globe. In this 60 minute class we will practice Conscious Connected Breathwork, which allows us to induce an altered state of consciousness by intentionally changing our breathing pattern. Through this process, we safely create an excess of energy throughout the body, and as it disperses, we give our body the opportunity to release stuck or stored energy and trauma, and clear blockages both physical and emotional. Every session will deliver a completely new experience.
Benefits can include:
The process is loving, safe, and gentle, providing a safe place for everyone to have a moving experience. Mel is a trauma informed, certified breathwork facilitator and Registered Respiratory Therapist. You will be fully conscious and in control of your experience throughout the entire journey. When you come prepared with an open mind you will have the opportunity for powerful experience and immediate growth personally.

Hatha yoga, or “the yoga of force,” is designed to align, cleanse, and calm the body and mind. Classes incorporate many traditional yoga practices, including physical postures (asanas), breath work (pranayama), and mindfulness (meditation, visualization). Hatha yoga can help improve strength and flexibility, reduce stress, and promote balance throughout all body systems.
Despite its name, this class is accessible to beginners and experienced yogis alike. No yoga experience is required, and classes are appropriate for all ages. Led by Michelle Thompson, a 500-hr registered yoga instructor and licensed occupational therapist, variations of each pose will be demonstrated. Props will also be available for students.
